It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees. If the assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need to maintain the qualification of your First Aider’s, then this course will provide you with that.
This comprehensive 2-day course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.
This course will give participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. All successful students will be issued with a new First Aid at Work Certificate, lasting for a period of three years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
A minimum of 12 hours spread over at least two days.
Courses start at 9.30am generally finish at 5pm.
- A range of subjects including:
- Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
- Fractures and spinal injuries
- Heart attacks
- Control of bleeding
- Head injuries
- Eye injuries
- Chest injuries
- Sprains and strains
All candidates must be aged 16 and over
Courses may be canceled due to insufficient numbers. In theses instances, a refund or booking on the next available course is offered.
