Snowdon or Yr Wyddfa is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd.
Snowdonia National Park is a great place to go walking. Experience breathtaking scenery and diverse landscapes from rugged mountain peaks and crystal clear lakes and rivers.
This weekend trip is part of the preparation for those students who wish to take part in the 6 day Moroccan High Atlas guided mountain trek to the 4,167m peak Jebel Toubkal. A very exciting opportunity that will take place in September 2025. During the trek the accommodation will be either in Berber lodges or at established campsites. On the last day of the trip,a rest day is planned with the opportunity to explore the city of Marrakech.
The cost for students for the Morocco trip will be in the region of £800 depending on final numbers.
Note that students can take part in the Snowdonia trip without any obligation to sign up for Morocco. However the Morocco trip is highly recommended and deposits will be due by mid June 2025.
