Detailed Description
Carbon literacy training offers lots of practical tools that can enhance teaching and transform every day work and personal behaviours.
In order to become certified as Carbon Literate, you must take part in 8 hours worth of accredited learning, which will include completing an evidence of learning form. Following successful completion of the 8-hour course and acceptance of your submitted evidence form (completed within the 8 hours), you will be awarded a Carbon Literacy certificate, which will be unique to you.
The training is offered online via Zoom through 2 x 4 hour sessions (the full 8 hours must be attended to certify) :

The Carbon Literacy Project (a charity) requires a £15 payment per learner to cover the costs of checking submitted evidence forms and issuing certificates. On this occasion, it will be covered by OBBS staff development budget.
Therefore, please only book if you can commit to attending both live sessions and then completing a short evidence form. Following a short overview, it asks you to commit to an individual and workplace action, which you detail in the form.
We will require a minimum of 8 for it to run, and 15 place are available. First come, first served! Bookings close 9 September.
The certificate will be delivered as a PDF with a unique identifier number. Carbon Literacy Trust is a charity, and this cost covers application processing, evidence checking, certificate production, and supply.
Reapplication: If a learner does not receive certification on their first submission, they will receive feedback and the opportunity to reapply. Please note that if a learner chooses to reapply, it is treated as a new certificate application and incurs a £15 processing fee.
