The sunflower lanyard signals to all Oxford Brookes staff and students that you have a hidden medical condition or disability which means you are exempt from wearing a face covering.
When we receive your order you will be emailed a Google form to confirm your sunflower lanyard eligibility. Please note that we cannot dispatch your lanyard until we receive a completed version of this form.
Sunflower lanyards are free of charge for Brookes staff and students.
Sunflower lanyards orders may take up to 10 working days.
Please read the following information before placing your order.
We’d like to remind you that a sunflower lanyard can be used by those who have a hidden disability so that University staff and students can identify those who may require extra help, understanding or patience, and in some cases exemption from face coverings for the following reasons:
- If someone has a physical or mental illness or impairment, or a disability, that means they cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering;
- If putting on, wearing, or removing a face covering would cause someone severe distress.
We ask all students and staff to be mindful and respectful of this.
Further information can be found on the following webpages: Keeping each other safe and Health and Wellbeing
If you need a sunflower lanyard to indicate your exemption from wearing a face covering, please proceed to place your order in our shop.
